HOBIE MIRAGE LYNX

Want the freedom to fish anywhere without moving a heavy kayak? Coming in with a hull weight of only 47lbs the Lynx is the kayak for you. The Lynx isn't just built to be light, it's built to be a fishing machine. From a comfortable seat that we have personally spent many days fishing on to the Mirage Drive 180 with Kick-Up fins, the Lynx is able to handle whatever you throw at it.

The hull of the Lynx is a hybrid between a stand up paddle board(SUP) and a kayak. It has the width of a SUP while combining the rocker and bottom contours of a kayak to make it stable when standing without sacrificing its ability to handle rough conditions. The large rudder combined with the Mirage Drive 180 allows the Lynx to turn on a dime helping you get in and out of tight areas easily.

From mothership trips to San Clemente Island to quick morning casts before work at Mission Bay, the Lynx is one of the most used kayaks here at the shop. If it's easy to use, you'll use it more, and the Lynx presents one of the easiest ways to get on the water!
