Hobie’s Purchase by Bass Pro Shops Has Been Completed: A Dealers Perspective

Two legends of water-sports have combined together with the recent merger resulting in Hobie being purchased by White River Marine (Bass Pro Shops). As a Hobie dealer who has been with the company for over 30 years, we have seen many owners come and go. After hearing the news, we couldn’t be happier about this new acquisition. 

Both Hobie and Bass Pro Shops have similar roots. Deep passion for the outdoors combined with an extremely hard work ethic to produce some of the best products on the water. The companies both Hobie Alter and Johnny Morris created emphasize family, fun, and make getting on the water easy. Ron and Debbie Lane started Fast Lane for the same reasons over 45 years ago. They are still in the shop every day, working their hardest to make sure you have the best time on the water possible.
