USA KAYAK FISHING NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE COMING TO TOWN

We love being part of the local kayak fishing scene here at Fast Lane. Every once in a while, we get to help host something bigger.
This August 12–16, the USAngling Saltwater Kayak Nationals is coming to San Diego Bay and Shelter Island. Anglers are flying in from all over the country to fish our local water, and the top 10 finishers earn a spot on Team USA, heading off to compete in the international championship.
HOW WE'RE INVOLVED
We're renting out Hobie Outbacks to competitors flying in without a kayak. If you're coming to compete and need a boat, give us a call at 619-222-0766 and we'll get you set up. The Friday captain's meeting is set up right between Dana Landing and our shop, and Ron's speaking at the Wednesday night seminar over at Portuguese Hall alongside some of the other local kayak fishing experts here in San Diego.
Our friend Nick (@STIXOutdoors) has created an app called kayak vault to support the tournament anglers. The tournament will be run through the app and it allows competitors to maximize their time on the water with its easy to use interface. The kayak fishing world is constantly growing and HOOKED is ready for the future of tournament angling.
