THE BEST TRANSDUCER MOUNT FOR THE HOBIE ITREK ANGLER

THE QUESTION:
One of the first questions we asked when we saw the Hobie iTrek Angler for the first time was, "why are there three rudder mounts?". The engineers at Hobie then explained to us that they added the extra two rudder gudgeons to allow for moving the rudder to a new slot when a motor took up the center spot as well as providing a slot for a transducer to be mounted. Immediately we started thinking about how this simple improvement is going to change the game when it comes to rigging inflatable kayaks.
THE ANSWER:
Ever since the iTrek Angler came out we have been working with our friend and master engineer Jim Bixby on creating the best transducer holder for the extra gudgeon on the iTrek Anglers. He loves fly fishing off of his Hobie kayak and enjoys designing and creating new gadgets for us here at Fast Lane. After a few prototypes and testing we have settled on the final product and we are excited to share it with you. The Fast Lane iTrek Angler Transducer Solution allows you to raise and lower your transducer easily with a simple pop of the pull line.
MOUNTING AND INSTALLATION:
Rigging the transducer system is extremely easy. The kit will come with some adapters to allow for different-sized transducer mounting. We've tried this transducer holder with Garmin and Lowrance transducers and it works for all of their models. You can even install a side scan transducer! Once your kayak has the transducer mounted, you're good to go. You can easily remove the transducer mount from the gudgeon just like the rudder. Then you're ready to fold it up!
